IMPORTANT NOTICE

Changes to processing arrangements for Student Visa Applicants resident in Brunei

The Australian High Commission in Brunei will cease receipt and processing of applications for student visas as of 31 December 2010.  All Assessment level 1 students which include nationals of Brunei Darussalam may apply for a student e-visa via the internet. 

Your passport country and course of study determines your assessment level. Information on Assessment Levels is available the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website at:

Information on how to apply online is also available at the website.  Lodgement of student e-visas can be completed up to 4 months prior to course commencement date.

Students unable to apply online

Residents of Brunei who are unable to apply for a student visa online will be required to send the application with the fee to the Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.  More information on how to lodge an application and pay the application fee is available at
